Payment Process Flow for ALLSKC Platform

1. Payment via Stripe / Paystack / Flutterwave (To Hire an Expert)

Step 1: Initiation

  • The user selects an expert’s skill or certification and initiates payment.

  • ALLSKC generates a unique transaction reference.

  • A split payment request is created via the respective payment provider’s API, specifying:

    • The expert’s subaccount ID.

    • The agreed percentage split (e.g., 75% to the expert, 25% to ALLSKC).

Step 2: Checkout

  • The user is redirected to a secure, third-party checkout page (Stripe, Paystack, or Flutterwave).

  • Payment including required tax is completed using available methods (e.g., card, bank transfer, USSD).

​

Step 3: Post-Payment Handling

  • Upon successful payment, the payment provider sends a webhook notification to ALLSKC confirming the transaction.

  • Funds are automatically distributed:

    • The expert receives their portion directly into their registered bank account.

    • ALLSKC receives its share.

  • ALLSKC logs the transaction details and any relevant remarks for record-keeping.

Booking Activation

  • Once the booking is confirmed, both parties are automatically notified via email and connected through ALLSKC'S Hired Chat feature and can communicate until the transaction’s end date.

​

If Payment Fails

  • If the payment is unsuccessful, the transaction does not proceed to the next stage.

  • In rare cases where payment via Stripe succeeds but the expert transfer fails, ASC will manually complete the transfer upon notification, and the booking will proceed as normal.

​

Additional Notes (For All Payment Processors)

  • All payment processors support secure encryption, fraud prevention, and local currency support (where applicable).

  • Expert subaccounts must be created and verified beforehand on each processor.

  • ASC does not touch the expert’s payout — ensuring FCA-aligned flow where ASC acts as a facilitator, not a financial custodian.

 

 

Summary

  1. Registered experts appear in skill hub/certification pages.

  2. Individuals or companies select an expert, view services, and booking duration.

  3. Payment via Stripe, Paystack, or Flutterwave (insurance-like ASC package to be added later).

  4. On successful payment, service agreement is sent, and live chat opens on the start date.

  5. Communication before hire is limited/restricted (no contact info exchange).

  6. Both parties can track service progress of each other by marking every steps satisfactorily completed.

  7. Refunds require dual request before job end date.

  8. Disputes resolved under platform policies.

Payment Splits:

  • Expert: ~80%

  • ALLSKC: ~20%

  • Handled automatically via payment provider API/webhooks.

  • Expert/Freelancer will be credited instantly but will be eligible for withdrawal only after 7 days from payment date.

Purchase of ALLSKC Units

​

Step 1: Initiation of ALLSKC Unit Purchase

  • The user selects the number of ALLSKC  units they wish to purchase.

​

Step 2: Payment Process

  • The user proceeds to make the payment via a third-party payment provider (Stripe, Paystack, or Flutterwave).

  • Payment including required tax is processed securely using available methods (e.g., card, bank transfer, USSD).

​

Step 3: Post-Payment Handling

  • Upon successful payment, the payment provider sends a confirmation webhook to ALLSKC.

  • The purchased ALLSKC units are automatically credited to the user’s account balance.

​

Step 4: User's Updated Balance

  • The user’s balance is updated to reflect the newly purchased ALLSKC units, and they can start using them immediately within the platform.

​

If Payment Fails

  • If the payment is unsuccessful, the purchase of ALLSKC units will not be completed, and the user will be notified accordingly.

  • The user will need to retry the payment process.

​

Summary

ASC Purchase Flow:

  1. User selects number of ASC units.

  2. Payment processed securely.

  3. Webhook confirms success → balance updated.

  4. If payment fails → no units credited, retry required.

ASC Points System:

  • ASC is a virtual unit used within the platform.

  • Can be purchased with real currency (via Stripe, Paystack, Flutterwave).

  • Can also be awarded as rewards.

  • Cannot be transferred between users or withdrawn into cash.

  • Uses: Profile promotion, premium plans, Expert Matrix / Job Matrix access, marketplace activity requests.

  • Limit: Maximum purchase/holding balance applies.

  • Subscription: 1 ASC/month, with 7-day free trial.

Verification Payment Process

Step 1: Initiation of Verification

  • The user selects the verification option (paid or free) they wish to proceed with.

  • For users opting for the paid verification, they will proceed to make the payment using one of the third-party payment providers (Stripe, Paystack, or Flutterwave).

  • The free verification option will not require payment and can be selected by the user directly only if eligible. Please check free verification requirement.

Step 2: Payment Process (For Paid Verification)

  • The user proceeds to make the payment securely using available methods (e.g., card, bank transfer, USSD).

  • Payment including required tax is processed by the chosen third-party payment provider.

​

Step 3: Post-Payment Handling (For Paid Verification)

  • Once the payment is confirmed, the payment provider sends a webhook to ALLSKC confirming the successful transaction.

  • Upon successful payment, the user will be granted access to commence the verification process.

​

Step 4: Verification Commencement

  • After payment confirmation, the user can begin the verification process within the platform.

​

Step 5: Free Verification Option

  • Users opting for the free verification will be able to proceed with the verification process directly without the need for any payment.

​

Step 6: If Payment Fails (For Paid Verification)

  • If the payment for paid verification fails, the verification process will not proceed.

  • The user will be notified of the payment failure and will be prompted to retry the payment process to continue with the verification.
